There was no Chess Club meeting Oct. 20 because of fall break. Despite that, regular meetings will resume starting Oct. 27. Chess Club welcomes new students to join the club. According to sponsor Margaret Winans, Chess Club meets every Monday after school until 4 p.m., when late bus passes are provided, or until 4:30 p.m. in Room F103.
Regardless of playing experience, all students are encouraged to attend and play chess both recreationally and competitively against one another.
Chess Club attendance is optional and is not recorded.
Kevin Mi, Chess Club co-president and senior, makes plans for an upcoming club meeting. “It’s really good to come out and play chess against other intellectual minds,” he said.
