In their recent Carmel Mayor’s Youth Council (CMYC) meeting, Matthew Klineman, CMYC president and senior, and Leah Zukerman, CMYC vice president of expansion and senior, plan out volunteering opportunities at the Monon Community Center. Zukerman said the Princess Ball is an event the club has volunteered at before and will be available for sign up this year as well.
Carmel Mayor’s Youth Council (CMYC) will meet on Jan. 20 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Carmel City Hall. According to Leah Zukerman, CMYC vice president of expansion and senior, CMYC members will volunteer at Boyz Night on Jan. 17 from 5 to 10:30 p.m. in the Monon Community Center.
“It’s an opportunity for us to bond as a group, as well as help these kids have a good time at the Monon Center,” Natasha Crasta, CMYC event director and senior said.
Members will also prepare for volunteering at the Princess Ball in the Monon Community Center on Feb. 7.
“(Princess Ball) is a father-daughter dance (Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation) hosts every year. We’ve helped before, and it’s always so much fun. All the little girls are so adorable in their princess dresses and I just can’t wait,” Zukerman said.
