The CHS choir spring concert will take place March 18, according to head director John Burlace. Burlace said the choirs hope to show improvement from where they were in the fall.
Brett Slosarek, ensemble member and sophomore, said, “We are working on showmanship and presenting to the audience. We want to make the audience feel like they are getting a good show and having a good time.”
“Right now we are focusing on still some skill building, some sight-reading,” Burlace said, “and just a lot of performance skills, a lot of clean choreography and a lot of the basic building blocks we had given them in the fall that we are refining now.”
Burlace said the choirs have gotten better and have worked a lot harder since the fall. According to Slosarek, the directors have put an emphasis on making the choreography look more natural and looking as though they are having just as much fun as the audience.
