According to Chess Club sponsor Margaret Winans, Chess Club members will meet after school on Sept.28 in Room F103. Club meetings will continue to be every Monday after school with late bus passes provided.
According to Joe Philleo, club co-president and senior, Chess Club has had a great turnout this year.
“Membership has been way better than I expected,” Philleo said. “We’re excited to have everyone here.”
Members will continue to have friendly competitions in chess games in future meetings. Philleo said the meetings are all straightforward yet chaotic at the same time.
“The great thing about chess is that everything’s new,” he said. “Every game is different.”
