Indian Student Association (ISA) plans to hold a call-out meeting during the month of November. “So the three of us (board members) are currently trying to make some solid plans for the future and once we get those going we’re planning to have a call out meeting,” ISA officer and sophomore Alina Hussain said. “We’re kind of in the middle stages; we’ve already decided what we want to do with the club and where were heading but now we just have to make those concrete and see if they can actually materialize.”
Aryaman Gupta, ISA club president and senior, said the club will have two parts: volunteering and celebration of Desi culture. Volunteering is a new aspect of the club starting this year. However, the club is hoping to have their plans made more concrete before the call-out meeting. The goal is to have the call out meeting before the yearbook photos.
“If we don’t have our call out meeting before the yearbook photos just come anyway,” Hussain said. “Everyone is welcome.”
