Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) will meet on March 16 in Room B206 to discuss solutions to discrimination towards LGBT students at CHS, according to club sponsor Jeremy Horner.
“Although the club plans to meet every 2 weeks or so, unfortunately, with the officers’ busy schedules, we haven’t met in a while. However, hopefully we will reconvene the club at this meeting and continue the good work we were doing,” Horner said.
Kiley Gardner, club member and sophomore, said while the club doesn’t meet very often she still likes the idea of unity that is present in the club.
“I know a lot of gay students at Carmel High School and I really like how the club is kind of a uniting factor for them. Even though I personally have never faced any problems I like to know people are there, if I needed a safe place to talk,” Gardner said.
