Every year the Greyhound Connections club members plan several events for the beginning of the year. Greyhound Connections sponsor Joe Stuelpe said Greyhound Connections will have their first football tailgate sometime in the next few weeks.
Vice president and junior, Elaine Lynch, said she is looking forward to the tailgate.
“We try to get new students to go to the games by hosting tailgates,” she said.
Lynch said they are implementing many changes this year. “This year we tried really hard to match (club members) with new students in their grade,” Lynch said.
Lynch said this year there are only 41 new students which is less than in previous years. Lynch said this combined with more Greyhound Connections members will allow for a more personal experience.
In addition, Lynch said they are talking about filming a video tour of the school that can be shown to new students next year.
Lynch said overall she has loved her experience with Greyhound Connections. “It is always a lot of fun and it is good to know that you are helping new students.”
