Several students from WHJE, the Carmel High School student radio station, and CHTV, the television station, placed in individual contests at the annual IASB (Indiana Associates of Student Broadcasters) conference on March 8.
Six WHJE students and three CHTV students placed in the state competition. The following CHTV winners are listed: senior Nolan Blair,1st in Television Sports Play-by-Play; senior Parker Myers, 2nd in Television Sports Play-by-Play; junior James Gartner, 2nd in Music Video. The following WHJE winners are listed: junior Ty Maguiness, 1st in Spot Production; junior Sara Zhang, 1st in In-Depth; juniors Kris Norton and Alex Eaton, 1st in Football Play-by-Play; junior Scott Stewart and senior Michael Estridge, 3rd in Volleyball Play-by-Play.
