According to Key Club co-vice president David Jiang, Key Club has planned many donation drives in the upcoming weeks.
“We have a lot of ongoing projects going on, like our overarching project of helping out Ronald McDonald house but also just recently we started a donation drive to help a teacher make a bench out of bottle caps for her class,” he said.
Jiang said that at their next meeting, there will be a service project led by the Sophomore Class officers.
“(We will) mainly just (be) reiterating some of the things from (the) last meeting and adding some more volunteering opportunities for members to log more hours. Next meeting is also assigned to the Sophomore Class officers to lead the service project done during the meeting, so we’re excited to see how that goes,” Jiang said.
According to Allyson Ward, the co-sponsor of Key Club, Key Club is also currently doing other donation drives as well.
“Currently we have three donation drives going on. Our Hamilton Country Kids Coats drive, a Halloween Candy drop off for first responders, and the Bottle Cap donation drive for a local elementary school,” she said.
