The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) members plan to host their next meeting on Sept. 12. According to club sponsor Jason Cirrincione, club members meet on Fridays at 8:15 a.m. in the Freshman Cafeteria, and a smaller group of students meet on Tuesdays at 8:15 a.m. in Room C117 for a devotional. Cirrincione said on Sept. 5, club members did a school-wide scavenger hunt, which they will discuss during their Sept. 12 meeting.

“You had two different options to go to… one would lead to a dead end, and one would lead to the next, going on forward,” Cirrincione said. “We’re going to be talking about it this week in our huddle groups, talking about how our choices dictate if we end up where we wanted to end up in the first place.”

Jack Armstrong, FCA student leader and junior, said when he first joined the FCA, he thought the people in the club were great people and decided he wanted to make an impact as a leader of the club.

“I would say my favorite part of the club is the Friday morning (meetings),” Armstrong said. “We have donuts and you get to have discussions and sometimes (guest) speakers… it’s just such a good way to kick off your Friday morning.”

Evan Achterberg, FCA student leader and junior, said he felt that being a leader of the FCA was a great opportunity to have an impact in someone’s life and change it for the better.

“Our leadership team is so great, and I feel like we all connect really well and work together,” Achterberg said. By Mady Kiser
