According to Jana Cosler, Best Buddies sponsor and English teacher, the club will be holding its annual family night on Oct. 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Carey Grove Park. The club will provide hamburgers and hot dogs, but is looking for volunteers to bring desserts and drinks.
Senior Michael Sharkey and junior Rachael Klippel help sort out papers at the Best Buddies match party. Club sponsor Jana Cosler said the party was hectic, although it went pretty well.
Cosler described the event as a “meet-and-greet opportunity for buddy pairs and their families.”
According to Craig Maude, club activities officer and junior, the club will then slow down its schedule.
“After this we’ll have a lot less on our plates,” Maude said. “We don’t have another chapter meeting until the last week of October.”
