On Oct. 21, WHJE will broadcast the men’s football team’s first sectional of the season.
Dillon Welch, radio student and senior, and Christian Schinbeckler, radio student and seniors, will provide live play-by-play and color commentary for the game.
According to Welch, who has done commentary before for CHTV, it takes a lot of work to be a good commentator.
“(Commentating) hasn’t necessarily been hard for me, but . . . it’s just commitment,” Welch said.
Radio teacher Brian Spilbeler said that the radio broadcasts for football sectionals are some of WHJE’s most popular broadcasts.
“We just . . . continue to cover as many sports as possible,” Spilbeler said.
