The German Club will host its April event, the Amazing Race, on April 25 after school. The event will last from 3:20 to 5 p.m. The cost to attend is $2 and snacks will be provided. In addition to the Amazing Race, German Club will also be having its 2012-2013 officer elections.

“We are all getting really busy,” Michaela Bunting, German Club president and senior, said in response to the preparations of the Amazing Race. She said that the week before the event, her fellow executive board members and her met after school to decide on the exact course of direction they want to go with this event.

The Amazing Race will have groups divided into teams that are labeled with different German-speaking countries. There will be clues and minute- to- win- it games that will eventually lead them to the final destination despite the different routes. The prize for the winners of the Amazing Race will be “big bags of gummy bears” according to Laura King, club sponsor and German teacher.

King also said that there will be no waiting for the outcome of the officer elections, and the results will be announced on the same day as the voting. A list of requirements to be a German Club officer is posted in A224.
