The three faucets of Young Life: club, campaigners and Capernaum, will continue regularly through the months of October and November at their designated locations.

Young Life Club will meet every Tuesday night at 7:32 pm at the American Legion Building in Downtown Carmel. Campaigners will continue to have their meetings at 7:30 pm at 13102 Brooks Landing Pl 46033. Capernaum will meet every other Thursday after school in the Community room, and the exact dates can be found at the Carmel Young Life website.

According to Young Life head sponsor Jakob Van Asten, each Young Life category is unique.

“Club I would describe more as controlled chaos than a meeting. Club is sometimes just a giant paint fight with a dance party in a water park afterwards,” Van Asten said via e-mail. “The second meeting is campaigners. Campaigners is an ongoing quest to ‘live deliberately, live deep and suck out all the marrow of life,’ which is a quote from Thoreau.”

The third faucet of Young Life, capernaum, works in association with Best Buddies to bring the Young Life message to Christians with mental disabilities. Best Buddies officer, Rachel Klippel, says Capernaum is a good way to connect the two clubs.

“It allows everyone to worship God and see his grace. It can be anyone so it’s a good way to make sure everyone is included,” Klippel said.
