Today during SRT around 10:00 a.m., the Carmel Fire Department came to this school to investigate the elevator in the A-wing of the building.
“The emergency button in one of the elevators was pushed,” assistant principal Doug Bird said. “The fire department came to see what was going on.”
According to Bird, there was nothing wrong with the elevator and it had been pushed by mistake.
The emergency button in the elevator is intended for those who may be trapped inside to push to call for help. No one was trapped inside the elevator and it is safe for use.
