As CHS students get ready for the winter choral concert, “Holiday Spectacular”, the maintenance department is in the back-lines making sure things run smoothly throughout the show. According to maintenance department member, Mike Wyatt, the maintenance department will set up lights, sound, and other related materials.Junior Megan Riley, sound crew member for “Holiday Spectacular”, said the maintenance department usually does checks when the choirs are not practicing on stage.

“Without [the maintenance department] hooking up the sounds and fixing up the lights, ‘Holiday Spectacular’ would not be as great,” said Riley.

The maintenance department also does a smoke test before the choir shows to ensure the safety of all the attendees and singers.
