Share the Music Club is scheduled perform at Stratford Nursing home on May 25. According to Sunhee Han, club president and senior, club members will provide a free concert for the elderly. Additionally, the club will be accepting officer applications and hosting officer interviews within the coming weeks, according to Han.
“Share the Music is all about giving back to the community through music,” Han said. “We want our officers to be passionate about the club and to have contributed to Share the Music by performing and or volunteering at club events.”
According to faculty sponsor James Woomert, Share the Music Club members perform at local nursing homes on a regular basis. Members sign up for specific time slots on the club’s website and perform with their friends.
“We get out and perform for the community,” Woomert said, “…We try to bring all these people together to meet and have an opportunity to perform.”
