Club Med members will distribute locker signs during its next meeting on Jan. 27, according to Omeed Malek, Club Med co-president and senior. The meeting, as usual, will be in Room B215. Malek said he had originally scheduled to distribute locker signs before winter break but canceled the meeting due to a two-hour delay.

“(Locker signs) help identify students who are in our club and gives a feeling of cohesion to our group of students,” Malek said. Club Med locker signs have been around for almost three years, since Malek became president. This year, he said Club Med has printed out and laminated around 100 locker signs.

According to Club Med sponsor Sarah Gillim, Malek was responsible for the printing and lamination of these locker signs.

Along with the distribution of locker signs, Malek will also discuss plans and goals for the second semester with club members. The list of possible activities for next semester includes field trips, guest speakers, job shadowing opportunities and volunteer opportunities, according to Malek.

Gillim said Club Med may have the opportunity to go to the Indiana Medical History Museum (IMHM) during second semester.

One major goal for Club Med, according to Malek, is to maintain and increase the attendance of meetings.

“Every year, our second semester attendance drops off compared to first semester, so we want to make sure that as many people as possible attend the meetings regularly,” Malek said. “We will be busy this semester.”
