Pat Appleton, varsity runner and junior, stretches in the locker room following a hard workout. Appleton and the rest of the men's cross country team will run in the Semistate on Oct. 22 at Northview Church.
The team continues its daily training for these postseason meets according to Head Coach Erhard “Doc” Bell.
Via email, Bell said, “The team will need to maintain their focus for the next two weeks if they wish to achieve a State title.”
If Carmel wins Semistate or places in top six, the team will go on to State on Oct. 29 in Terre Haute.
Daniel Williams, varsity runner and junior said, “Even though we didn’t have the best (Regional), (we) are looking to make Semistate our best race.”
