Venture Crew is scheduled to participate in a food drive on March 21. This is a new type of event for the club, which in the past participated in events such as rock climbing and canoeing. Joseph Nardi, club president and senior, said, “I wanted to do it because I think another important area we need to get into is service, to teach the people in our club the importance of giving back to the community.”

Venture Crew sponsor Scott Staley said the club considered whether they should specialize in certain activities such as rock climbing or continue focusing on all types of adventure, adding new activities along the way. On upcoming spring events, he said, “This semester we haven’t scheduled an [outdoor] event yet but I’m looking forward to it, maybe when it’s warmer.”

The club members also talked about meeting twice a month instead of once. The club would continue their after-school meetings on Tuesdays, but supplement them with a weekend meeting later in the month.
