The CHS Media Center will host Creative Writing Con on Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29. According to Theresa Ramos, media center department chair, the event will hold a variety of activities ranging from author visits to sidewalk poetry. The event will take place in Carmel High School’s media center.
“The entire media center will be closed because the event will cover the whole area,” said Ramos. “You can get a muse pass and come down on Friday during SRT.”
In addition, Ramos also said about 40 English classes will come down to see the many activities on display. There will be galleries to view along with hands-on events to participate in.
CHS is also pairing up with Barnes & Noble to host a book fair. Authors from Barnes & Noble will join the Creative Writing Con and Mr. John Williams and Mrs. Skeens-Benton will be guest baristas in the Barnes and Noble Café. Some of the proceeds will go to Carmel High School for the event.
