The PTO had a recent success with the Homecoming Dance, its biggest fundraiser that occurs each year. The dance had about 150 parent volunteers come to help with the dance.
PTO president Cathy Huber said, “The money the dance generated goes to the schools. Teachers may come to the PTO to make requests for needs such as new equipment and then that will benefit the students.”
Freshman Mark SanGiorgio said, “All the Carmel programs are good and the school system is definitely not stingy on money and we have enough to fund these programs, and that’s something that makes the schools better.”
Huber said, “I do like Carmel High School and the school system. I think we can be proud of the school system and all of the schools in the district.” By Nick Andrews <[email protected]>
