In order to help students prepare for the SAT and the ACT, the AVID program has begun assigning practice tests. AVID coordinator Jamie Newcomer said she believes it is important that AVID is helping students prepare for these national exams.
“I think that it’s great that AVID is helping students with the ACT and SAT. The SAT and the ACT are really important for a student’s future, so they need all the help that they can get,” Newcomer said.
Cameron Milam, AVID student and junior, said he agrees with Newcomer that AVID helping students prepare for the tests is beneficial for students.
“The practice tests are really helpful because our teachers can help us with problems that are difficult. That way we can understand problems we missed better,” he said. By Pranav Jothirajah
