On Jan. 21 the German Club plans to travel downtown to take a tour of the Anthaneum, a historical German building that houses the Indiana German Heritage Society as well as the American Cabaret Theatre. Along with touring the Anthaneum, German Club members will also have the opportunity to eat at the Rathkeller, a German restaurant located in the same building.
According to German Club sponsor Laura King the cost for the event is $10 which covers dinner and admission to the Antheneum. Between 30 and 40 members are expected to attend.
While the club did not have this event last year the German Club has gone to the Anthaneum and Rathkeller in the past.
Theresa Lipp, German Club president and junior, said, “It was really fun because on the bus ride the German Club was really able to bond and the food (at the Rathkeller) is delicious.”
King added that going downtown is a great opportunity for German Club members to see what is available to them in the way of German culture. By Meredith Boyd <[email protected]>
