Pinnacle members are working on proofing pages for the yearbook between now and spring break.
Yearbook adviser Claire Burke said they are working on proofing about 70% of the yearbook pages before spring break.
“They give us big paper proofs that we can look at,” Burke said. “It’s just changing anything and updating anything to reflect the finalized version that will be printed in the yearbook.”
Pinnacle editor in chief and senior Lilliana Cate said she really appreciates the team of editors they currently have who help the process move smoothly.
“I’m just so lucky with the editors that we have this year,” she said. “We all really work with each other and for each other to get the book together.”
She said in addition to proofing they are also working on the supplement to the yearbook.
“(It’s) like the tiny book before, so that covers all the events throughout the year,” she said.
Cate said in comparison to previous years, this book is more specific to this year.
“(We came up with a theme) in July, and we’ve added some really unique things to this book,” she said. “So I think it’s going to be really cool and just really different and special to this year compared to the rest.”
She said one challenge of getting the yearbook out has been with some of the software the staff has had to work with.
“Our editors have worked really hard to combat that and just worked really hard when the software started working again,” she said.
Burke said, “It’s a lot of stuff happening right now, a lot of moving pieces, but we’re making it.” By Allison Washburn
