The Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation (CCPR) is planning Spooky Social on Oct. 23 from noon to 4 p.m. Spooky Social is an event where participants get to dress up in their Halloween costumes at West Park and possibly win a prize. The Costume Contests will be judged by age and afterward, the dog costume competition will take place. During this event, individuals can take part in different activities such as face painting and crafts. Some of the categories for best costume include best homemade costume, scariest, and most unique.
Along with this event, teen fitness activities are also taking place. Teen Pilates and Teen Cycling are a few activities that Lindsey Labas, marketing manager for the CCPR, recommends students to try. According to Labas, participating is a great way to meet new people.
“Participating within our teen programs is a great way to get out and meet other teens your age who are interested in your same hobbies,” she said. By Audrey Bailey <[email protected]>
