The Best Buddies club will hold a chapter meeting on March 7 in order for club members to get together and interact with their ‘Buddy Pairs’.
“(Members are) required to keep a monthly commitment of keeping weekly contact and hanging out outside of school at least twice a month as well as attending chapter events,” president and senior Alexia Ohnemus said via e-mail.
During the meetings, the club plans upcom
ing events and fundraisers. Their purpose is to encourage a friendship between special education buddies and general education buddies in and outside of school.
“The officer board does most of the planning and organizing of the meetings and events,” co-sponsor Jana Cosler said. “I oversee and make sure the students are following the school rules.” By Audrey Courter <[email protected]>
