James Ziegler, sponsor of the Do Something Club, said the club was collecting art supplies for John Marshall Community High School until March 18. “Their art department and art teacher are kind of under funded and under resourced,” Ziegler said. He said the club was collecting used glasses for the Daniels Hamant Foundation, a Bolivian organization whose purpose is to provide healthcare to rural Bolivians, until March 18 as well.
Viviane Linos, founder of the Do Something Club and senior, said, “Our main focus right now is that we’re trying to organize a pay to play tournament with the Four Square Club, and we’ve pretty much determined that we’re going to do it on the Wednesday before spring break.” She also said the club members will work on and finish their club posters and announcement video during the club’s next meeting.
