Art department submits student work for competition

The art department’s student artwork applications for the Regional Scholastic Art Competition (RSAC) are due by Dec. 1. Each teacher can submit up to 25 pieces of art.

“I try to find pieces that stand out for me quality-wise,”  art department chairperson Jennifer Davis said.

After the submission of artwork for the RSAC, the artwork is judged by a panel of judges and is eventually put on display at the Clowes Memorial Hall at Butler University. The artworks will be displayed Feb. 13 to Feb. 26.

“I have been working harder on my art since I know I have a chance of getting recognized,” Colby Cronnin, art student and freshman, said. “Not many students get a chance for their artwork to get displayed at Clowes Memorial Hall.”Ar
