Best Buddies plans to participate in the Friendship Walk on April 28 at White River State Park Canal in Indianapolis. Registration is free and open for the public on the Best Buddies Indiana website.
According to club sponsor Dana Lawrence, this is a statewide event where Best Buddies chapters from all over Indiana come together and raise money for the program. Rachael Klippel, club president and senior, said the proceeds go to the state program, not to the individual chapters, but the chapter gets back the money through support from the headquarters.

After the walk, participants will be allowed to go to Military Park for a celebration with food and activities.
Jack Flowers, club treasurer and sophomore, said, “The buddies and peers both take a lot out of the experience because they get to meet more people and have fun as a team out in public.”
