During the next meeting, members of the Rising Stars  will be able to vote for new 2013-2014 club officers. Last meeting, club members nominated several possible representatives from each grade as a well as several students for secretary, treasurer, vice president and president.

“Next time, students can vote for new officers from the members they nominated last time,” Jim Peterson, sponsor of Rising Stars, said.

According to Peterson, the club is making a change this year as the actual electing by club members will be done online and not during the meeting.

On May 1, club members will come together for a banquet in which they take a retrospective look at the programs and events which occurred this school year. During the banquet, certain club members will receive club awards for being a unique addition to the club.

Carolyn Keller, president of the club and senior, said she encourages all club members to come attend the meeting.
