Rising Stars members form groups ahead of the meeting to plan for possible upcoming events and discuss new club activities. “With the committees, members can have a bigger impact on the club instead of having the board control everything,” junior Amanda Warnock said.
Rising Stars will have its next meeting on March 6 after school in the Studio Theater room.
The meeting will mainly focus on fun activities for club members, including one such activity called March Madness Dialogue.
According to Matthew McDonald, representative at large and junior, March Madness Dialogue is an event for the upcoming month in which members can film short videos of themselves to upload to the club’s Facebook page.
“There’s different categories and groups people can submit into,” McDonald said. “There’s best use of action, most memorable choice of monologue, just stuff like that.”
In addition, there will also be other activities such as games and acting practice as well as prizes.
Additional information is on the club’s Facebook page.
