According to Annie Swain, AVID senior elective teacher, the fundraiser at Chipotle for the AVID senior banquet on March 27 will be postponed until April 19.
“(Chipotle) asked us to move back the date since they aren’t available on March 27, so we just need to get our paperwork filled out and then we can be able to move forward with publicizing the event.” Swain said.
Madi Luedeke, AVID member and senior, said her mother was involved in asking local restaurants like Chipotle if they would be willing to donate a portion of the sales to the AVID program.
“It’s for a really good cause, and we’d like to raise more money for our AVID banquet to make it better for all of the seniors, so everybody should come to support the AVID family.” Luedeke said.
