At the March 4 House meeting, members had the opportunity provide ideas for the Spring Event, which Cabinet will host. House members will vote on the event at the next House meeting.
According to Ted Gardner, chairperson for the event and junior, the event will most likely take place at the end of April.
Cabinet sponsor Sarah Wolff said, “(We) sometimes feel like we get in the habit of doing the same thing every year because it works but I don’t necessarily always think that is the best way to do things because you’re not bringing something new and exciting.”
Gardener said since the event changes every year, it could be harder to plan compared to others.
“We really have to be flexible. (This) event requires more planning and materials than others.” Gardner said.
Wolff said that since the event changes ever year, so does the cause that the event benefits.
“We run two spring events and they are both undeclared money, it really depends what has been going on. That money goes to various places,“ Wolff said, “I’m sure the (chairpersons will) pick a worthy cause and the money will go toward that.”
