Comedy Sportz team will begin to practice in October in order to get ready for their first meet on February 17^th in the Studio Theater here.

In order to prepare for the first meet, team members will meet for two hours after school on Fridays for a semester. During the winter, the team goes downtown every Saturday for a workshop at the Comedy Sportz theater. While they are there, professionals work with them as a six-person team, and they see what their strengths are.

Club sponsor Jim Peterson and returning members Peter Marshal, Jillian MacNulty and Austen Guevara chose three new members last Friday.

Peter Marshall, senior and third year participant, said, “We look for people who are not afraid to put themselves out there and go out of their comfort zone and do crazy stuff.”

Marshall also said Peterson has a lot of influence in choosing new members.

“I’m here for supervision; I’ve done this for a lot of years.” Peterson said. “I can answer questions, give advice and help with issues. I’m happy to help them with that.”
