On March 14, House members will meet and take a vote on what activity to host in the spring. Some options, according to speaker of the House Mo Issa, include Amazing Race, Quidditch and 3 v. 3 basketball.
“Of course, we’re always open to any other ideas,” Issa said. “For the past two years, we ended up doing the Amazing Race, but we also did Quittich the year before.”
House sponsor Sarah Wolff said, “We want to let the House members to weigh in on what they want to do for the spring event, and that way we can get the student body involved in an activity that will be fun for everyone.”
Meanwhile, Cabinet members will lead the Dance Marathons at Carmel Middle School and Clay Middle School in early April and late March, respectively. The middle school students will dance to a shorter version of the line dance from this year, cut down to six songs.
Issa said this year’s Carmel Dance Marathon was the successful one yet. “There might not have been as many dancers as last year, but they seemed more enthusiastic,” he said. “Cabinet and Senate worked really hard this year, and we broke our total, which is always a good thing to do.”
