Part 2: The east coast
Welcome back to Colleges at a glance. In this installment, part two, here are my favorite college campuses on the east coast of the U.S. Stereotypically, all the Ivy League schools get the highest hype with their grandiose stone buildings and historical campuses. As a result, I’ll stray away from those.
School: University of Virginia
Location: Charlottesville, VA
Campus: A medium-sized public university, the University of Virginia is 4-year coed college, located in the small, suburban city of Charlottesville, VA. The University of Virginia’s campus has beautiful, open spaces complimented with an arrangement of brick buildings surrounding the green lawns, giving the campus a “cozy” atmosphere.
School: University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Location: Chapel Hill, NC
Campus: The first large public university we’ve covered so far, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is situated in the small city of Chapel Hill, NC.
School: Emory University
Location: Atlanta
Campus: Another medium-sized private university, Emory University is one of the nation’s top universities. The friendly campus with Lullwater Park, over 100 acres of land, students can feel at easily relax on campus.
Colleges at a glance – Part 3 will cover my favorite campuses on the west coast, although I’m not the biggest fan of the west coast.
