Korean Barbeque. Something so warming to the soul and something that brings you close to family. The variety of colorful kimchis and the wet pop of the sizzling bulgogi meat or short rib. Kbbq is a magical experience. Fortunately for us, the Circle City blesses us with a handful of these establishments. Mostly focused in neighborhoods on Pendleton Pike and 116th Street in Fishers, these restaurants often feature tables with grills in the center which are used by the customer to cook their food. Nothing is more satisfying than cooking yourself your very own food, and MaMa’s House Korean BBQ on Pendleton Pike provides the best Kbbq experience in Indy. Although the menu is expansive, you best find the barbecue section and head straight for the kalbi (short rib) or bulgogi (beef). As you can tell from the photos below, the restaurant complements the meats with banchan, tons of small side dishes that are not small on flavor. After cooking your meat to its desired delicious state, pair it with some sticky rice, bean paste, lettuce leaves and some combination of the banchan for a truly glorious experience. Nothing soothes the soul quite like mother’s cooking, or in this case, MaMa’s.
