In anticipation of the premiere of the movie “New Moon,” the media center will reserve a showing of the movie at Regal Cinema on Nov. 20. This showing of the movie is open to all Carmel students.

“We’ve rented out a theater for just people from Carmel for the 4 p.m. showing of “New Moon” on Nov. 20, and we’ll be selling tickets in the media center,” Erin Thorpe, media tech manager, said.

According to Thorpe, tickets cost either $7 and a canned food item or $7.50. The media center will sell tickets for this showing of “New Moon” starting on Nov. 10.

The media center has also scheduled a talk about New Moon, the book by Stephenie Meyer, on Dec. 2 during SRT. The book talk will compare the movie and the book.

The media center recently announced the winner of its “New Moon” movie trailer contest. Sophomore Joel Kirk won the contest and will receive two tickets to the movie and  a $10 gift card to Barnes & Nobles.
