The Carmel Football Team is currently looking for support staff for next year’s football team. Support staff includes equipment managers and video managers.
Specific duties of video managers include taking videos of practice and games, uploading the film from those videos to Hudl, and helping the video manager supervisor with sending the film to opposing schools as well as obtaining film from opposing schools/other schools who have competed against the opposing schools. Video managers are critical to ensure that coaches have video to spot mistakes made by players and correcting them prior to games, as well as finding mistakes during games that could be improved on for the next game.
Specific duties of equipment managers include sizing players for helmets and shoulder pads, passing out helmets, shoulder pads, and other pads, fixing helmets and shoulder pads, collecting all gear at the end of the season, handling the footballs during practice and games, taking out and putting away football practice equipment during practice, making sure all the equipment needed for away practices and/or away games makes it in on the trip, passing out game jerseys and game pants before games, and doing laundry. The equipment managers are critical to the team to ensure equipment is where it needs to be as well to make sure players’ gear for both practice and games fit.
All managers in good standing at the end of the season earn Varsity Letters. In addition, managers are on the sideline of every game, meaning video and equipment managers get the best seat in the house.
