According to David Mikesell, sponsor of the foreign exchange program, the exchange students at this school are now participating in many school activities.
“I like to see the kids get involved in different activities that our school has to offer,” Mikesell said. “It is important that they get a lot out of visiting our school.”
The exchange students here have the same opportunities as all of the other students and can get involved with various activities and sports.
“I want to try out for volleyball at Carmel,” Andreas Estmark, exchange student from Stockholm Sweden, said. “It’s something I enjoyed back at home, and I’ve always enjoyed it.”
According to Mikesell, he encourages the exchange students to participate in any activity that they have interest in.
“There are so many (clubs and activities), and I know (exchange students) would find some of them interesting,” Mikesell said.
