Art Club’s main goal this school year is to complete the ArtsGarden project. The ArtsGarden will be an outdoor classroom lab located directly behind the freshmen center art room H115.
“This fall in Art Club we will be devoted to fundraising for the CHS ArtsGarden project,” Art Club sponsor Jennifer Bubp said. “Also, we will be making upcycled holiday ornaments for the Art and Design District’s Holiday Walk. Our focus this school year is to create a connection between the community and CHS using our passion for art to drive our ideas.”
In order to raise money for these projects, Art Club will have a booth for face painting on Sept. 21 down at the stadium. All proceeds will go to the ArtsGarden project. In addition, Art Club will have a booth this weekend at the Carmel Arts Festival.
Some students have already expressed interest in the booths that will be down at the stadium on Sept. 21 for Homecoming.
“I plan on bringing at least $10 Friday for the booths.” Senior Jack Cunningham said.
It is not too late for students to join Art Club. Art Club meets after school on Mondays or Thursdays in room C127.
