So, I know it’s been a little while since my last post, but I don’t think two weeks is too long. I was going to write about the election, but then I was too late. So I was going to write about my thoughts on the outcome; I actually even wrote some of it. But then I figured no one would want to read anything else about the election or have forgotten about it, and even now you’re all probably like what election? And then my next option was Movie Night, but I kind of missed my window of opportunity on that one too. So today I’m going to smush in some stuff about Movie Night and talk about my fabulous 18th birthday, which is today. 😀

Well first off, Movie Night was awesome. It’s pretty much my favorite event, so I’m so happy that over 400 students could enjoy it too. Plus, we raised over $3,000 for Riley Hospital, so I send giant thanks out to anyone who came, bought a ticket or told someone to go.

Now on to my birthday. In case you’re wondering, 18 feels pretty much the same as 17 until I start thinking about it. Eighteen. It’s so old! But, I still consider myself a little kid on the inside, so no worries there. Yes, I want to be a mermaid when I grow up. Yes, Santa is real. No, I do not want to eat that weird vegetable just because it’s “good for me.” (Unless my mom made it because then it’s probably delicious.) So as of today I can vote, join the army, buy some cigarettes or a lottery ticket, but I’m still the same old me. Er, young me. Whatever.

Alright well I have like 5 minutes to post this before it’s not my birthday anymore, so a quick thank you for all the birthday wishes and to everyone who made my special day wonderful!!! Even though I’m pretty sure some of my Facebook friends aren’t even real people, but they still said happy birthday so thanks to them too. Shout out to those of you who know who I’m talking about. Okay that’s all. My next post will probably be about my new iPhone that I’m slowly learning to use.
