According to AVID senior leader Meredith Missler, AVID is to have its Senior Day during SRT sometime in May at the community room. The AVID seniors will be given passes shortly beforehand and can leave whenever they want to.
Missler said that the seniors won’t have to bring anything to the party, and that there will be catered food for the Senior Day.
“We spent a class period in G1 and G3 and planned out everything we would like to do.” Missler said.
AVID site coordinator Shannon Woodson said that she and the AVID senior leaders are optimistic about the turnout in this party, especially since it will help foster the family aspect of AVID. “The seniors are really excited and interested in the event so that they will have a special night for the end of their senior career.” Woodson said.
