Football team victorious in 5A State tournament

Carmel football defeated Penn 54-0  in the 2011 IHSAA State Championship. Carmel finished the season with an overall record of 14-1 and defeated its opponents 618 to 150.

Penn entered the game undefeated, yet it was not able to score against the stellar Carmel defense.  Carmel had trouble scoring touchdowns in the beginning, however they turned the momentum around by the second quarter.
