NHS members have been planning for the Ghosts and Goblins 5K/2K Run, which will take place at CHS on Oct. 25.
It will begin at the fieldhouse, where participants can choose to partake in either the 5K run or the 2K walk. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes. According to NHS sponsor Michele Satchwell, all proceeds from the run will go to scholarships for CHS students and grants for teachers.
“It’s basically just a way to give back to the community and you can have fun and dress up,” Morgan Montgomery, NHS vice president and senior, said.
Sign up forms for the run can be found by going to the Carmel Clay Schools website and clicking on the Ghosts and Goblins link, or by going directly to the Ghosts and Goblins website.
In addition, NHS members began late start tutoring in the freshman cafeteria. Any student is welcome to stop by at any time to receive help from NHS tutors during late starts.
