Brainless, heartless, and a coward. These were the personalities of the various characters in the Wizard of Oz. Sadly, all of these personalities combined give you one of the following:
A. Terrorist
B. Colts General Manager Ryan Grigson
The latter is what I’m discussing.
Ryan Grigson and Head Coach Chuck Pagano have never gotten along, but the way Grigson attempted to force Pagano out of office basically makes me want to puke. Allow me to elaborate. Grigson, about halfway through the season, began to fire all of the coaches save for Pagano, and replaced them with people who won’t work with Pagano for whatever reason. Then, since they could not work together, the team fell to 8-8, and then, since the Texans went 9-7 and qualified for the playoffs instead of the Colts, Grigson asked owner Jim Irsay to fire Pagano. Thankfully, Irsay thought the whole situation was ridiculous, given the Colts quarterback situation, and instead extended Pagano’s contract by 4 years and Grigson’s by only 3 years.
However, the way Grigson attempted to get rid of Pagano is so heartless, on a scale of how <expletive> that is, it is barely above ditching your prom date 2 hours before the dance.
I think Grigson has had his time, and considering what Pagano has been through in his life, Grigson is not fit to be the Colts general manager. In fact, right after this class, I am going to go straight to Coach Hebert’s office and show him why Grigson does not belong ANYWHERE on this campus or on its football team. And when the Colts fall to 5-11 next season and people everywhere send in letters to Irsay telling him to fire Grigson, I promise you, I will be among them, thank you, good night.
