The Gay-Straight Alliance is scheduled to meet in room B215 on March 3rd, according to club sponsor Jeremy Horner.
“Being the first meeting in three weeks, we haven’t really gotten much together,” Horner said.
According to Horner, the club will continue the “suggestion box” method of selecting a discussion topic invented last meeting, where those wanting to contribute a topic can do so by inserting a slip of paper with their suggestion written on it into a box. The group then pulls a random topic out which becomes the discussion topic for the meeting.
“The topics that we get now are more open ended, but then again, there are more topics (available to discuss),” Horner said.
Gay-Straight Alliance is mainly a forum group where members can discuss about recent news and social issues, according to Gracie “Grace” Woerner, club president and junior.
“Gay-Straight Alliance promotes and markets a safe environment for people who have different sexual orientations. People should join because it’s for a really good cause,” Woerner said. By Tony Tan <[email protected]>
