As the varsity team begins to look toward the Sectional, the junior varsity team hopes to end its season on a high note with a victory over Ben Davis on Saturday.
“I think we go out there every Saturday and try our best, and I believe we’re really coming together as a team,” Clinton Grable, JV defensive tackle and sophomore, said.
The Greyhounds have worked hard to get to where they are at this point in the season, not only during practices in the fall, but throughout the summer as well.
“(JV and varsity) are held to the same standard. The summer consists of fundamental skills camps, a four day team camp, lifting weights and workout sessions at 6 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday,” Richman said. “Players are expected to be working hard throughout the summer and that continues throughout the school year.”
Grable said that a win over the Giants would help display all the hard work and effort the Greyhounds have put into this season.
“(A win) would be good for the team,” Grable said. “It would show that we’ve worked hard and ended on a high note.”
