Student Tutor Connections (STC) continues to search for a session supervisor and a room, according to STC sponsor Kris Hartman.
Hartman said in the past weeks, she was unable to find another sponsor due to the fact that most teachers already have an SRT they supervise.
“It’s hard finding somebody that has the space and the availability to host the club,” she said. “We had a few false alarms where we thought we found people, but it didn’t work out because they haven’t been able to commit to supervising every week. I probably will send out an email again over the next week.”
President and senior Andrew Riley said he also asked around to see if anybody was available to host the STC sessions, but all the teachers he asked had busy SRTs.
“It is difficult to find a room and sponsor,” he said. “If we can’t find a sponsor, then we really can’t host STC, but I don’t want to think about that.”
Hartman said she is not worried since the club can start at any point.
“There is no time limit. After we find somebody, we’ll just start,” Hartman said.
Riley said, “I’m really not sure how long it will take to get a sponsor, but we have hundreds of teachers in the school. I’m sure eventually we will find someone. It just is a matter of when.”
